Reiki is an ancient system of self-healing compatible with all belief systems.  The classes include a history of this ancient Eastern healing art, hand positions for gentle therapeutic, self-healing.  At the end of the classes you will be able to use Reiki on pets, on partners and on plants.  This class is for beginners only.  Certificates will be awarded.  There will be a $5.00 fee per student payable to the instructor for materials.

This introduction to astrology will help you understand your birth chart.  The chart will be more accurate if you have your birth time as well as your birth date and place, but it is not necessary.  Our focus will be on understanding the standard signs, houses and planets that comprise all birth charts.  We will use examples from our own lives to illustrate the power of astrology.  A $5 materials fee (color chart construction and handouts) will be paid to the instructor at the first class.

How do we grieve?  What are the kinds of losses we grieve?  What are the best (and worst!) things we can say and do to help others?  Following a brief historical overview from Freud to Kubler-Ross’ stages, we will explore contemporary viewpoints.  We’ll look at individual and collective grief, cultural perspectives, unacknowledged grief, unrecognized grievers, and maintaining connections.  Included will be a review of the literature and tools ranging from support groups and the internet to creative approaches to processing grief.
